Villa Lotela was originally a beautiful lake front home that was built in 1925. At some point in time, the residence was made in to five individual apartments. There are four one bedroom one bath apartments in the main building. In addition, there is a two bedroom one bath cottage that is detached.
Perfect for anyone looking to spend time in the area who desires furnished accommodation, but also needs something less expensive than and Airbnb or a hotel.
All 5 of our units are nicely furnished and immaculate. If you are in need of a furnished rental for 6 months or more, then we are possibly a great fit! Our niche is corporate rentals and and those in need of longer term furnished rentals. Villa Lotela is a great fit for the traveling professional who needs a comfortable and peaceful home away from home. All you have to do is contact us and let us know your needs and we will see if we can accomodate you. We also offer annual contracts for longer term guests. Some guests come to stay for short periods and then end up staying for years. We also have many repeat visitors, and more than 10 guests that have ultimately bought property in the area and decided to make Highlands County their permanent home!
We purchased the property in 2002 and continually strive to make improvements. The location is very peaceful and private. You can choose to mingle with other guests, or have all of the solitude you want. Relax in a lounge chair, soak up some rays and read a book. Bring your clubs and golf at one of the 10 reasonably priced courses that are within 10 miles of the property. Feel free to bring watercraft, boats, jetskis, tubes, etc. The fishing can also be a lot of fun! Lake Lotela is a premier, pristine sand-bottom lake that is great for swimming and water sports. You will see some pics in the gallery of our water mat! Sadly we lost our water mat in Hurricane Irma in 2022. For many years it was a lot of fun, and a big hit with kids and adults of all ages!
So blessed to have this view every single day! As a guest, you will be able to enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets! (FYI, I know its hard to believe but the pics on our website are not filtered and are the actual pics taken with a cell phone or camera.) The lake will actually turn pink on certain days in certain areas. I often find myself driving home, jumping out of the car, and running (well sort of) down to the lake to get that special pic at that perfect time of day. I could probably create an entire website with nothing but sunset pictures.
